A Message From Our Founder/Director
I think it’s a shame that in a country as great as ours, anyone should have to choose between feeding a pet, and feeding themselves. I believe very strongly in fostering the human/animal bond. By feeding pets of those who are homeless, on fixed incomes or disabled, the chances of someone giving their own meal to their closest and most trusted companion (their pet) decreases, as does the incidence of people surrendering their very loved pets to already over-burdened local shelters, simply because they cannot afford pet food. My mantra? “No one should go hungry. No one.”
With that desire in my heart, I founded and direct Mojave Desert Animal Rescue. We’re all looking to make a difference in our world and I believe that by focusing on a community that many people choose not to see, we’re going to make the most substantial impact. The world is made up of these important social connections and if we foster them positively, they’ll pay huge dividends – in love, care, and a more humane world. To accomplish this, we need YOUR help!
